Urban Design
Cities are among the most complex human developments ever created, serving as centers for innovation and connection. They also bring unique challenges. As urban populations grow, so do issues such as pollution and flooding, public green space access and availability of quality housing and offices. We see urban centers as opportunities for participatory action that enhance human experience and foster environmental stewardship, leading to increased health, wellness and happiness for all.

Featured Project
Tencent’s two-million-square-meter “Net City” in Shenzhen, China, places the needs of people and the environment before cars in an interconnected ecosystem. The urban design creates a human-scale feel through terraced buildings of different scales and heights interspersed across a series of green pathways.
