Despite the connected nature of their products, technology flagship stores are seldom designed to encourage customer interaction. The SMART flagship store for major Philippines-based communications company PLDT offers an engaging, modular experience for its visitors that reflects the company’s mission to empower and connect every customer through a seamless digital experience.
Defined by its engaging social character, the open-format flagship store is filled with sweeping organic shapes, from expansive lighting treatments to staggered seating areas and “egg-shaped” digital displays equipped with wheels for easy mobility. By uniting an enhanced customer shopping experience with SMART products and services, the design team was able to reinforce the link between retail vision and core values.
Features
Informational screens are placed at eye-level on walls so that people can engage better with the products. Other digital offerings include games and interactive software to help shoppers engage with one another.
