Time Magazine Names NBBJ Healthcare Project a "Best Invention" of 2024
Restorative outdoor paths winding through majestic hills. The gentle sound of native grasses rustling in the wind. The calming scent of rosemary and thyme. These features are recognized by TIME, which today, names the Montage Health Ohana Center for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health to its Best Inventions of 2024 list in the design category.
Ohana unites neurosciences insights, such as access to nature for patient wellness and respite spaces for caregivers to recharge, to create a new model of behavioral health while decreasing stress and staff turnover.
To compile this year's list, TIME solicited nominations from TIME editors and correspondents around the world, and through an online application process, paying special attention to growing fields—such as healthcare, AI, and green energy. TIME then evaluated each contender on a number of key factors, including originality, efficacy, ambition and impact.
