UC San Diego Viterbi Family Vision Research Center

To accelerate the discovery of medical advances in vision treatment, the Viterbi Family Vision Research Center will research ophthalmologic diseases and expand interdisciplinary collaborations across the healthcare campus at UC San Diego and the community.
Housing wet laboratories, offices and administrative programs, the design showcases the important work happening inside, prioritizing transparency while respecting the sensitive operational requirements of a lab building. Situated on its La Jolla campus, the building acts as a gateway to the medical campus, complementing the adjacent buildings and creating a welcoming presence.
