Alaska Airlines Headquarters
A common challenge in workplaces is ensuring that employees feel connected to colleagues in other departments. Built to connect those working across the Alaska Airlines campus in SeaTac and bring frontline workers together with corporate staff and leadership, Alaska Airlines’ new building, Copper River, creates a welcoming environment for employees and guests that prioritizes well-being and sustainability.
NBBJ’s Environmental Graphic Design studio developed an environmental graphic system for the project to create a welcoming place for Alaska employees to relax between flights, shop for uniforms, connect with other staff members and work in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Landmark graphics, wayfinding and signage are designed to be clear and express Alaska’s brand while adding a bit of levity to the staff’s everyday experience.
Features
Tilden Hall, a two-story atrium space, is dedicated to the longtime CEO, Brad Tilden, and is utilized as a work space in addition to a large meeting area. Tilden Hall reflects Alaska Airline's unique history and culture by integrating aviation images and graphics, with prominent concrete columns that showcase the company's values.
