Results from NBBJ’s Global Survey of Scientists Featured in NAIOP Development Magazine & UKSPA’s Breakthrough Magazine
The spring issue of NAIOP’s Development Magazine and Breakthrough Magazine, the official publication of UKSPA, both feature in-depth articles on The Future Lab, a global survey of scientists conducted by NBBJ and The New York Academy of Sciences.
The survey explores what scientists want and need in their research buildings, revealing key insights such as a strong consensus around sustainability (83% of scientists expressed a strong preference for it).
Additionally, the Breakthrough Magazine lead article highlights the diverse and evolving building needs of scientists, emphasizing the importance of flexibility. As NBBJ’s Darius Umrigar notes, “The drive is to create great quality facilities that are able to adapt to suit an ever-changing research landscape.”
