As a healthcare architect and manager in NBBJ’s Seattle office, Chuck Kolb has played an integral role in the success of a number of innovative projects in Alaska and Washington that transform outpatient clinics and the acute-care medical environment, including the Southcentral Foundation Valley Native Primary Care Center, SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, St. Anne Hospital, Foundation Health Partners, Harborview Medical Center, Providence Medical Center, and Swedish Medical Center.
Chuck lends his medical expertise and commitment to teamwork to a variety of project types, including: freestanding clinics, large inpatient hospitals, cancer centers, master plans and more than 80 remodel projects over the past 35 years. He actively participates in planning meetings and discussion sessions and provides an experienced sounding board for new projects, remodels and future needs.
With a particular interest in the planning process, Chuck enjoys shepherding a project from development to occupancy. Having proven his exceptional relationship-building and project-management skills on project after project, Chuck has earned a special credibility with his clients and created a strong rapport. He finds great reward in helping organizations solve challenges by taking a creative approach to every project while keeping a keen eye on the budget. A confident manager of large teams, Chuck continually works to motivate all design consultants to exceed project goals and client expectations.
