Fulfilling
Their Potential

Recognizing that environments, practice models and IT systems continually evolve, Providence Health turned to NBBJ/REV to bring their new $460 million medical center online successfully, reducing the risks and costs inherent in opening a facility and, more importantly, quickly optimizing the potential of the new environment.

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett’s new medical tower is the final piece in the hospital’s decade-long plan of new construction projects aimed at upgrading services and keeping patients from getting healthcare outside Snohomish County. The new Cymbaluk Medical Tower, with a total cost of $460 million, is the largest capital investment in Providence Health & Services' 150-year history.

The tertiary hospital introduces cutting edge interventional radiology, hybrid ORs and electronic medical record systems into its award-winning clinical practice and it must run efficiently at near capacity from the start to recoup its investment. NBBJ devised a set of transition planning and change management services to ensure that they would maintain patient safety, minimize hand-offs and sustain efficiencies the minute the doors opened.
