With an upgraded workplace concept and finishes, the new Macy’s.com office represents an evolution of the company’s existing design standards. The pantry is the office's social heart and a place for informal meetings.

The open-plan workplace allows for maximum flexibility, so desks and even some storage areas can be reassigned as departmental space needs change. Phase II will extend the office into the building's north wing.

NBBJ elevated the company’s existing workplace design standards by concentrating on a few key elements: by upgrading the finishes, subtly modifying the casework, and simplifying the existing architecture and circulation paths. The result is a bright, uplifting workplace delivered at great value to the company.
The social heart of the office is the pantry, where a custom banquette, Eames Molded Plastic chairs and Herman Miller Everywhere tables create a place for socializing and informal meetings. Niches throughout the workplace provide storage for merchandise, but can also be converted to additional desks as the workforce expands or new departments move in.
