and Center

NBBJ is helping the University of California, Riverside, envision a new sports and recreation facility that can be used by the university and residents of the greater Inland Empire for decades to come.

The new facility is nicknamed the C-Center, which stands for court sports, commencements, convocations, concerts and community. Its location, at the edge of campus near the highly-trafficked Moreno Valley Freeway, provides a new face and front door to the University.

The four story structure would include approximately 6,700 seats inside the arena bowl, offices and adjacent parking for 1,000 vehicles. The design of the C-Center also features a variety of street-level retail which the university expects will be occupied by both local and national businesses. The C-Center is scheduled to open in time for the 2015-2016 basketball season.
