Jose Sama, LEED AP

Jose Sama is a partner and design leader in NBBJ’s healthcare design practice. With more than 25 years of experience, Jose believes that creativity in healthcare design is dependent on a holistic and integrated design approach. Jose leads teams in creating transformative and progressive designs that advance a healthcare provider’s mission by providing safe, patient-centered environments. His work has been recognized by Modern Healthcare, Healthcare Design and the Seattle Chapter of the AIA. In addition, Jose is the recipient of the prestigious Rotch Travelling Scholarship, and served as a visiting critic at MIT, the University of Washington, the University of Florida and the University of South Florida.
