Amazon Spheres Open To Employees And The Public
The Spheres, a dynamic new workplace at the heart of the Amazon headquarters in downtown Seattle, today opened to members of the press and select Amazon employees. The Washington Post, the Seattle Times, Curbed, GeekWire, TechCrunch and more were on hand to walk through the multi-story, glass-enclosed conservatory containing tens of thousands of plants and trees from around the world.
Prior to the opening, Amazon also offered previews of the space to The Seattle Times, Bloomberg, Fast Company and GeekWire.
As exposure to nature is proven to put people at ease and help them think more creatively, the Spheres are designed to help Amazon employees feel and work their best. In the coming months, Amazon will also begin to open the Spheres to the public via guided tours and in retail environments embedded in the base of the building.
