On the eve of Snapchat’s initial public offering, the LA Times spoke to NBBJ Partner Robert Mankin about corporate headquarters for a story on Snapchat’s decentralized office space. Mankin discussed how corporate headquarters in one location can reduce some expenses. But he also says regardless of whether companies have a centralized or decentralized real estate strategy, all should have amenities that foster interaction, learning and recharging. “With technology companies innovation is at the forefront of their thinking. They need a campus and they need amenities that will promote new ideas,” said Mankin.
