No Campus? No Problem! Fast Company Covers NBBJ’s Model for Urban Tech HQs

The millennial generation is taking the workforce by storm, and many want the offices in which they work to be located in the heart of a city. So as tech companies respond by becoming increasingly urban, they face a challenge: the desire to have the connectivity of a suburban campus, with the land restrictions that come with building offices in the city.

In response, NBBJ has developed a new workplace concept dubbed the vertical campus. Today, Fast Company reviews the concept and shares how it could become a prototype for tech campuses worldwide. “A big challenge in corporate headquarters [is] finding that thing that is going to uniquely express the company, but also trigger innovation and new thinking among the employees,” says NBBJ Design Partner Jonathan Ward.
