Tim Johnson Discusses the CTBUH with National Geographic

On the occasion of the CTBUH certifying the height of One World Trade Center — 1,776 feet, making it the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere — NBBJ Partner and CTBUH Chairman Tim Johnson sat down with National Geographic to discuss the Council’s work as the record-keeper for skyscraper statistics.

“We know that man’s greatest achievements are cities, and the way that a lot of cities are identified is by their tallest building,” he said. And now, for the first time since 2001, New York has a new tallest on its skyline.
